Description
Description (Service) Provides a take-away breakfast 7 days a week from the parking lot of the Salvation Army Bayside Mission, off of Maple Ave
  • Food and financial donations welcome
  • Food and other donations can be dropped off at Burton Ave United Church every Sat 10 am-11 am, around back at the kitchen door, food donations needed include:
    • Fresh fruit (apples, bananas, clementines, pears and peaches)
    • Yogurt
    • Fruit cups/applesauce
    • Instant Oatmeal (Dino egg and maple and brown sugar are favourites)
    • Granola and Nutrigrain bars
    • Store bought breakfast baked goods
    • Cheese strings
    • Juice boxes
    • Bottled water
    • Coffee
    • Hot Chocolate
    • Cream and milk
    • plastic grocery bags as well as apple, bread and milk bags 
    • Ziplock bags
    • Paper bags
    • plastic spoons
    • check Facebook page for updates on what food and non-food items are needed
  • Financial Donations can be made via e-transfer to Treasurerbauc@outlook.com 
    • Donors should specify the funds are for the Breakfast program
    • Tax receipts are issued for donations over $5
    • To receive a tax donation, send mailing address to Burton Avenue United church office at burtonaveunitedchurch@bauc.ca
  • Breakfast-To-Go program is the first initiative of Ryan's Hope an organization to advocate for and support people living with mental illness, substance use issues and experiencing homelessness
