Description

Description (Service) Approximately 300-member club offering courses and trips for adults and children, BCKC Membership includes:
  • Paddle Nights (for members only) - Usually Monday and Wednesday evenings in June, July, and August
  • Courses and Clinics (additional costs may apply - members pay a reduced rate for BCKC Clinics and courses)
  • Day Trips (additional costs may apply)
  • Overnight Trips (additional costs may apply)
  • Use of BCKC equipment during BCKC activities, Canoes, Kayaks, Paddles, Stand Up Paddleboards (SUP's), Personal Flotation Devices (PFD's) and safety equipment
  • All members receive a Nottawasaga Valley Conservation Area Parking Pass
  • Non-Barrie Residents receive a Southshore Centre Parking Pass
  • Winter Activities - cross country skiing and snowshoeing
Note:
  • BCKC equipment is not available for personal use
  • Personal boats or other equipment cannot be stored at their boathouse
  • Equipment may be available to special interest groups, email info@bckc.ca for information

Volunteer Description BCKC is a volunteer-run organization. Volunteers are needed to help with events and paddle nights. Positions available: Board members, Coordinators, Committee members, Paddle Night volunteers, event volunteers, etc.
  • High school students and all others welcome (must be members in order to volunteer)

  • Sep-May General meetings include guest speakers and are open to the public
  • Meet virtually on the second Mon of every month at 7 pm, check website to confirm meeting dates/times and venue
  • Jun-Sep Mon and Wed Paddle Nights (for members only) from 6:30 pm to dusk, weather permitting
  • Date/times for courses, clinics, and trips as listed on website

Eligibility No restrictions; open to all ages; Adult, Adult Couple, Student (full-time), Senior, and Senior Couple memberships available
  • Couple memberships are available to married or common-law partners living at the same address >
  • Children (under 18 years old and related to the BCKC member) can be added to any membership at no additional cost
