Description (Service) Nationwide organization emphasizing boating safety, power and sail navigation and offering accredited boating courses
  • volunteer trainers offer safe boating courses to the public
  • legislation requires boaters to have proof of competency on board
  • boating courses include the examination required to receive your Pleasure Craft Operator Card (PCOC)
  • also offer courses to obtain the Marine VHF Radio Radio Operator's Certificate, as well as a variety of boating, seamanship, sailing, electronic navigation weather and marine maintenance courses

  • conducts recreational vessel courtesy checks to verify and inspect mandated safety equipment
