Description (Service)

At this time, shelter is open for youth that are currently living there.
Crisis care facility offering:

  • emergency care housing, food and clothing
  • 19 beds
  • support in life skills development (dress, hygiene, cooking and budgeting)
  • short or long term stay, length of stay determined by person's need and rate of progress
  • long term stays require carrying out a plan (continuing education, work, or job search)
  • in-house and mobile outreach counselling services for individuals and families
  • information and referral

Boxes of Hope Fundraising Campaign

  • Purchase a box for $50, contains scarves, gloves, tuques, toiletries, hygiene products, gift cards, bus tokens and more
  • Campaign runs until Christmas
  • Donors can be eligible to win prizes

Donations
Accept donations of:

  • Food staples: drop off Mon-Fri 8 am-4 pm at 22 Wellington St E
  • donations of store purchased food, clothing and house/cleaning supplies are being accepted, cannot accept homemade meals at this time
  • Christmas gifts, winter clothing, socks, hygiene and beauty supplies, school supplies, baked goods, youth-geared Gift Cards (movies, restaurants etc.), bus tickets/passes
  • if you have something to donate, call 705-739-7616 to let them know when you will be coming to the house
Volunteer Description Volunteers: 20 years and over, various duties. Police records check required. Volunteer application required.
