Voluntary organization with goal of making the community and the world a better place for children, youth and other vulnerable citizens, club's motto is "Friend of Youth" and we believe in "Bringing Out the Best in Kids"

  • Membership is comprised of community members in general and men and women from business, industry, trades and professional organizations, new members are always welcome
  • funds are raised by holding the Optimist Antique Show at Kempenfest, through bi-weekly bingos and other fundraising activities
  • Supports a variety of local organizations with a focus on helping youth, sponsors:
    • Bowling for Kids from Empower Simcoe
    • Junior Curling
    • Optimist Beginner Golf League
    • Candlelighters Simcoe - Parents of Children with Cancer Annual Christmas Party
    • Boy Scouts
    • Youth activities for Talk Is Free Theatre and Youth Haven
