Description (Service)

Seventeen piece swing band with a vocalist that recreates the sound of the Big Band Era (1930-1950's)

  • plays music of Benny Goodman, Glenn Miller, Duke Ellington, Harry James, as well as Latin, ballads, waltzes, fox-trots and swing requests and contemporary hits
  • holds a public rehearsal in June at Barrie City Hall in preparation for their participation in the Barrie Jazz & Blues Festival, check website for times/dates for these and other concerts
  • available for private bookings, including weddings, anniversaries and birthdays
  • Skyliners Youth Big Band, under the musical direction of Daryl Yaeger, available to high school age students interested in playing jazz and swing, call or visit Skyliners Youth Big Band for more information
