Centre for innovation and applied research related to understanding future skills issues and fill research gaps

• funds and partners with different groups to lead innovation projects to test new ways to deliver skills training and assessment and support policy making in the area of workforce development
• With a focus on underrepresented and disadvantaged Canadians, the centre works to:
  • help Canadians make informed training decisions by understanding the skills needed now and in the future
  • help Canadians develop the skills they need to adapt and succeed in the workplace by increasing access to quality training, and
  • share results and best practices to support skills investment decisions and policy
