Description

Description (Service)

Professional counselling and psychotherapy services:

  • in-person and virtual counselling sessions for individuals, couples and families
  • free single-session counselling for people experiencing issues such as: family conflict, stress, grief, depression, anxiety, relationship issues, separation, divorce or abuse
  • clinicians may recommend/refer clinic clients for/to additional sessions, other CFS programs, or external community partners as require
  • offers support services and short-term counselling to help survivors deal with the impact of abuse and to develop improved coping strategies

Hours Virtual and on-site counselling sessions at Midland office: Mon 10 am-6 pm, by appointment only

Eligibility
  • Individuals, couples and families living or working in Simcoe County and Muskoka District
  • Children under 12 years are welcome in family counselling sessions with the written permission of legal guardians
  • Nondenominational
Support Services for Male Survivors: Individuals 16 years and older who identify as male or non-binary, and have experienced historical sexual abuse or who are a victim of recent sexual assault
  • must be an Ontario resident
  • families of the survivor may also be eligible for service
