Description

Description (Service) Provides confidential care and treatment by specialized nurses sensitive to the need of domestic assault victims who have recently experienced a domestic assault.

Care and treatment options are offered for each victim including:
  • medical care and treatment of injuries
  • photographs and documentation of injuries for use as court evidence
  • safety planning
  • risk assessment
  • referral to community services and resources for domestic violence
  • followup telephone calls and visits are also offered
Sup. Description Guest speakers are available for community presentations/educational sessions.
