Training | Orientation - Orient. to Alzheimer Society, volunteer policies and procedures: approx. 1 hour ; Training is provided - Orientation to Alzheimer's disease and other dementias: approx. 3 hours ; Scheduled training ; Training on the job - General training for various art techniques used ; Training on-going - Access to Society's more advanced dementia training, if applicable ; Supervised: 1. weekly by Art Therapist, 2. Monthly, Family Support Coordinator will be on site to guide and support volunteers and answer their questions, and guide and support clients. |
Transportation | Near public transit ; Volunteer will be required to find their own way to the Quest Art School + Gallery |

Additional Requirements | Documents to obtain Police Check will be provided by Volunteer Resources Coordinator. Two interviews required: 1. General interview with Volunteer Resources Coordinator, 2. Interview with both Mgr. Education and Support & Family Support Coordinator |
