The Barrie Chamber of Commerce needs dedicated volunteers to ensure the safety and enjoyment for everyone at the Barrie Santa Claus Parade. 

Volunteers are needed to:

• Be stationed along the parade route
• Keep the public off the parade route
• Stop people from crossing the road while the parade is ongoing
• Monitor the crowd to ensure everyone's safety
• Communicate with the command centre if there is any reason for concern or the safety of the public or participants of the parade
• In the case of emergency, facilitate emergency services as they direct 

Volunteers will need to dress for the weather - we will be outside for approximately 4 hours, The parade will go forward rain or shine. The Barrie Chamber will supply you with high visibility vests to ensure your safety. We'll make arrangements for you to pick them up prior to the parade from our office at 121 Commerce Park Dr, Unit A. Drop off will be at the command centre following the parade or at the office the Monday following the parade.

The Santa Claus Parade is a 74 year long tradition that brings joy and celebration of the holiday to Barrie. Help us bring smiles to the community!
