Description (Service) Long Term Care Home with 162 beds

Services include:
  • activities of daily living support
  • medication dispensing and monitoring
  • rehabilitative and social services
  • spiritual care services

  • housekeeping
  • laundry services
  • palliative care
Short-Stay Care
1 short-stay bed (respite care for people who have caregivers in need of temporary relief)
  • offered as available
  • short-stay residents have access to the same services as long-stay residents
Convalescent Care, Elston Unit
20 bed convalescent care at the IOOF Seniors Homes Inc is a short term stay program that provides rehabilitation services to those who are recovering from surgery or illness
  • stay can be from 7 days to a maximum of 90 days per calendar year
  • focus of the program is to ensure an individual is actively involved in regaining strength, endurance and functioning in order to support independence so the individual can return home
  • assessed and supervised by registered physiotherapists and facilitated by specialized staff, an individual's plan of care will include focused rehabilitation, exercise and physiotherapy treatments including TENS, Ultrasounds, Hot Packs and a well equipped Physio Gym
  • patients also have access to the same services as Long Term Care residents
