Description (Service)

Free weekly virtual program that promotes and supports a healthy start for kids in Simcoe County in a friendly and supportive virtual drop-in environment:

  • Supports families by providing nutrition, health, parenting and child development information and resources for women with children up to 36 months old
  • Free grocery cards are provided to eligible program participants weekly

Hours Registered participants can attend any of the virtual sessions, but staff try to place them in a session coming from the area closest to where they live if possible

Virtual Next Step Program
  • Tue 10 am-11 am (based out of Orillia)
  • Wed 10 am-11 am (based out of Midland)
  • Thu 10 am-11 am (based out of Barrie)
  • Thu 11 am-12 noon (based out of Collingwood)
Virtual Next Step for Newcomers
  • Wed 11 am-12 noon, for mothers who are new to Canada
Areas Served Simcoe County ; Programs located in Alliston, Angus, Barrie, Bradford, Collingwood, Innisfil, Midland, Orillia, Wasaga Beach
Eligibility Individuals with low income or who receive social assistance and who have children 12 months-36 months (3 yrs) of age
