Description (Service)

Designated OHIP insured physiotherapy services in clinics, and in the community, including homes, schools and long-term care facilities.

Services at Barrie office include:

  • Physiotherapy
  • Occupational therapy
  • Social work
  • Dietitian services

Falls Prevention
Services can also be geared toward preventing falls, by utilizing physiotherapy services to increase and/or maintain mobility and strength, and occupational therapy to increase understanding of individual fall risk factors and intervention priorities:

  • falls prevention education as a part of Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy services
  • assistive devices/aids prescriptions, home and car modifications and assistance with funding applications, provided as part of Occupational Therapy services
  • access to Dietitians who can assist clients in making healthy food choices to benefit bone mass and muscle strength
  • also does falls presentations to groups

Contracted service provider agency to the North Simcoe Muskoka Home and Community Care Support Services, Central Home and Community Care for Therapy Services and with the Children's Treatment Network Simcoe York

Eligibility For publicly funded physiotherapy:

OHIP coverage for those 19 years and under, 65 years or older, ODSP and OW recipients, and people hospitalized for at least one night due to injury.

No restrictions
  • Call for appointment
  • No medical referral required for private pay services
  • Medical referral required for publicly funded clinic
Languages English; French - Reception, some French speaking service providers, otherwise uses interpretation
Fees Service - Set fee. Physiotherapy services may be covered by OHIP
