Description

Description (Service) Supports caregivers in taking care of themselves while caring for someone else.

This free 6-week workshop series is an evidence-based self care education program for caregivers to build the skills they need to take better care of themselves while they provide care for others.

Participants will leave the workshop with tools to communicate in difficult situations, make tough decisions, problem solve, reduce stress, manage a range of emotions and much more.

All participants will receive a copy of The Caregiver Help book.

This peer-led group meets for 1.5 hours each week.

Hours Mon-Thu 9 am-4:30 pm, Fri 9 am-1 pm
Areas Served Barrie ; Collingwood ; Midland ; Muskoka District ; Orillia ; Penetanguishene ; Ramara ; Wasaga Beach ; Christian Island
Eligibility Adults of all ages caring for a family member, friend, child who is living with a chronic illness.
