Description (Service) National charity that inspires and supports people across the country to connect with nature and build resilient communities * leads an annual Earth Day campaign in conjunction with free, year-round programs that get people of all ages outside, interacting with the natural environment and fostering an intrinsically motivated, enduring commitment to stewardship and conservation. 
 
EarthPlay -- puts self-directed outdoor play back into the lives of children as a natural part of their day-to-day lives with projects in schools, childcare centres, parks, streets and other community spaces. The program includes: POP-UP Adventure Playgrounds, which promote play using a mix of natural and recycled “loose parts” (straw bales, mud, cardboard boxes and tubes, spare tires, fabric, rope, etc.); a pilot with the Toronto District School Board to bring Outdoor Play and Learning principles into six local schools; and another pilot with the City of Toronto to test a new street play permitting process 
 
EcoKids -- offers free, bilingual learning activities, contests, and resources for teachers, students, parents and communities to engage in environmental action.  
 
Employee Engagement Program -- fee-for-services * customized programs to help businesses meet their environmental, sustainability and conservation goals  
 
Hometown Heroes Award Program -- recognizing individuals, non-profits, groups, small businesses and educators who find creative solutions to environmental challenges
