Description

Description (Service) Outpatient Assessment and Treatment Service (OATS) provides a goal-directed service for individuals experiencing moderate to severe mental health challenges where care needs cannot be met through other community resources.

Services through OATS are time limited (6-9 months) and may include psychiatric consultation, as well as group therapy and individualized supports for treatment and recovery.

Services may include:
  • Psychiatric consultation, assessment, and treatment, including diagnostic clarification and medication stabilization
  • Medication therapy and monitoring
  • Evidence-informed psychotherapeutic and psychoeducational groups
  • Interprofessional support
  • Advocacy and connection to other community resources
  • Discharge planning

Eligibility Individuals 16 years and older experiencing moderate to severe mental health conditions.
Application Referrals to OATS must be completed by a Primary Care Provider using the Waypoint Referral Form. Completed referral forms need to be submitted to Waypoint's Central Intake department. Following acceptance to the OATS program, a Clinician will contact the client directly to schedule an Intake Assessment.
