Description (Service)

Trains volunteer community members to provide search and rescue support to police agencies dealing with emergencies

  • team assists with needed equipment
  • actively participates in search and rescue operations

K9 Unit

Georgian Bay Volunteer Search and Rescue is one of the few teams to have an OPP/Ontario Search and Rescue Volunteer Association (OSARVA) certified civilian search and rescue dog. These certified units could be requested by the OPP to help out anywhere in the province.
