Description (Service) The foundation works towards the promotion and preservation of folk art in Canada through song, story, dance and craft.

Mariposa Folk Festival is one of the pre-eminent folk festivals in North America. It is held on the shores of Lake Couchiching at Tudhope Park in Orillia.

The festival began in 1961
