March of Dimes partners with Delta Bingo to raise funds for our programs. Volunteers are needed to represent March of Dimes at the site, performing some duties and sharing information about our organization to the guests. You will not be asked to handle cash or conduct any games.

    Duties Include:
  • Help customers with questions about the Bingo Program and tidy up around bingo machines in between games
  • Direct customers to the appropriate person to answer their questions
  • Assist with any duties the bingo hall asks
  • Adhere to March of Dimes policies and Delta Bingo Dress Code
  • Training and shadowing with another experienced volunteer

Play, Learn, Grow is an opportunity for pre-school children to try out some STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts, and math) based learning.

We are in search of volunteers who can support the Monday morning programs at our Painswick or Holly Branchs, the Tuesday morning program at our Downtown Branch or our Friday morning program at our Holly Branch

Volunteers will enjoy interacting with children and their families at various activity stations throughout the library spaces.

Are you a wordsmith who loves people? We are looking for older adult volunteers to help newcomers to Canada feel welcome. Help newcomers get socially connected and practice English by playing scrabble! An extensive vocabulary is not necessary (there are dictionaries for that :)) so if you are friendly and want to make a meaningful contribution by helping newcomers, this could be the club for you! Scrabble Club will last four weeks, allowing volutneers to build relationships with newcomers.

  • Decorate room according to the event Ask staff what can be done.
  • Knock on each resident’s door and invite them to the program.
  • Help bring residents to area
  • Help if needed for resident drinks and or snacks
  • Support resident(s) to designated area. Take attendance and give to program staff.
  • Help clean up area and place tables and chairs back to how was before
