Clothing Sorter - Sort Clothes, take inventory, and organize the store.

IT Tech - Someone to create and maintain a social presence online to promote the organization and it's events. 
 
Hair and Make up Stylists- Help show clients what is appropriate for interviews and work when considering make up and hair.

Whether you’re an individual, community group, or group of friends, Easter Seals is seeking energetic and dedicated people to join our team of volunteers! In partnership with the Barrie Colts, Easter Seals will be partaking in the 50/50 ticket draw program for all the Barrie Colts home games in 2023-2024 
 
* Volunteers will work 4 hours per shift, arriving 1.5 hours in advance of game time at the Sadlon Arena 
* You will help sell tickets until end of second period.  
* Once the selling is finished, all volunteers are able to watch the remainder of the game in a designated area.

Special Events and Outing Assistance

We are looking for an Admin Coordinator to: 
 
Assist with downloading online orders from website and compiling order list on the first Thursday of the month 
Assist with emailing box contents list to participants  
Assist with emailing reminders to participants before pick-up day 
Report to the Barrie Good Food Box Coordinator and work with the Pack Day Leader to ensure a smooth pack day each month 

The Pack Day Leader assists the Barrie Good Food Box Coordinator at the Barrie Free Methodist Church on the second Wednesday of every month. 
 
Arrive at the church at 9 am on the second Wednesday of every month 
Assit with greeting volunteers and directing them to set up the pack stations 
Assit with overseeing the unloading of the truck when it arrives 
Assit with overseeing the packing of the food
Help maintain enthusiasm among volunteers

Tour Guide: Providing details to groups of people (school, community organizations) about our exhibitions and building 
 
Visitor Services: Greeting visitors and providing general knowledge to patrons regarding exhibitions and programs.
 

* Assist in promoting the programs and services of the Society to the attendees of the Health Fair.  
* Provide basic information about Alzheimer's disease.  
* Direct people to appropriate community support services. 
 
Volunteers: 
* Pick up display and brochures at the Society offices or an agreed to location.  
* Set up the display as per the Procedures listed in the Health Fair Resource Manual.  
* Answer general questions and distribute information about the programs and services of the Society.  
* Refer individuals to appropriate community support services.  
* Take down the display, pack up the brochures and return the display and brochures to the Society offices or an agreed to location.  
* Complete the Evaluation Form located in the Health Fair Resource Manual

Volunteers work with Alzheimer Society Family Support Coordinators in 1) a morning Support Group, 2) an afternoon Support Group or 3) an evening Support Group, depending upon the community.

The Gilbert Centre's volunteer program is on hold due to COVID-19 until further notice. Volunteers assist with:

• Special events (World AIDS Day, Fundraisers, Annual campaigns)
• Bingo
• Harm Reduction
• Board of Directors

We are looking for volunteers to assist with "pack day" on the second Wednesday of the month between 9 am-6 pm at the Barrie Free Methodist Church (284 Cundles Rd E). 
Volunteers unload the food from the truck, pack the boxes, greet people and give boxes to participants when they arrive to pick up, and general cleanup duties. 
We are also looking for volunteer drivers to deliver food to schools and "pay-it-forward" recipients.

Volunteers would be responsible for stocking shelves, cleaning the store, re-organizing items, aseembling product, and assisting customers. Volunteers who are interested should visit the website to register to volunteer. 
 
Volunteers must wear certified safety shoes, be capable of lifting up to 25lbs, able to stand for extended periods of time and be comfortable with 2-3 step instruction.

Assistance with resident In-house appointments

As a Bingo Volunteer, you are responsible for sharing the mission and values of the Ontario SPCA with participants at the Gaming Centre.  
 
Responsibilities: 
Be a positive role model, assist Bingo participants with the navigation of the e-bingo gaming consoles, share the organization's mission and how it benefits from each Bingo event, maintain a professional appearance, attitude and communication when representing the organization.

Café volunteers assist with the operation of the Café by providing staffing and services. Responsibilities include:

1. Serve customers of the Café
2. Perform opening and closing procedures as required
3. Record sales using a cash register, handle cash and maintain records
4. Refill condiment containers and supplies as needed
5. Conduct inventory and indicate need for replacement as needed
6. Keep café area clean and clear of debris
7. Tidy and restock books/DVD's/Cd's as necessary

Seasons Centre is currently in need of volunteers who are available on alternating Wednesdays from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. The WALK to End ALS is a fun, family friendly event that occurs across the country in more than 90 WALK locations across Canada. Join thousands of Canadians in the fight against ALS. Every dollar you raise as a walker goes to provide equipment, support services, education for the ALS Community, and fund research to find a cure.

All ages and experience levels welcomed. Main activities: 

• Walking, lots of walking in indoor 60'x120' (20x40m) arena or outdoor (30 x 70m) or wooded trails...up to 2kms/hour
• Grooming and getting horses ready, we will train on this
• Leading or walking with a horse with rider onboard, we will train for this
• Working with riders on the autism spectrum or with a physical disability 
• Mostly early evening hours; some daytime hours may be available
• 2 hour commitment 

• Drive clients to designated destinations 
• Assist clients to and from vehicle 
• Report any concerns of clients with deteriorating health and/or other needs to the Program Coordinator 
• Complete all required training and attend on-going additional training sessions as needed 
• Report to the Transportation Coordinator for all scheduling and availability

Volunteers will be responsable for meeting with a clients weekly or bi-weekly to add enrichment to peoples lives. Clients are blind or have vision loss to some degree, which often requires adpaments to life. Volunteers are required to socialse with them and add normal contact back in their lives after the effects of the pandemic. They can go for walks, visit community gardens, really anything the pair would enjoy. The requirement are up to the two people who are paired.
