Brief Overview: Bingo Volunteers play a vital role in supporting Living Green Barrie. By volunteering for bingo events, volunteers help Living Green receive monthly funds which directly support our programs, including our ambitious tree planting program to get 10,000 trees planted and other environmental initiatives.

Duties

Detailed Tasks:

  • Schedule: Use the self-scheduling tool to book your shifts. If you’re unable to attend, arrange a replacement.
  • Communication: Respond to emails and other communications promptly.
  • Training: Complete all required online and in-person training.
  • Arrival: Arrive on time, ready to start and catch up on any updates. Sign in upon arrival is required
  • Professional Appearance: Wear identifiable attire (provided by Living Green Barrie)
  • Facility Knowledge: Familiarize yourself with the facility layout, including the restrooms, and concession area.
  • Customer Interaction: Greet customers warmly, deliver snack trays to players, and tidy up, sorting trash for recycling.
  • End of Shift: Clear tables and tidy player area. Wipe down terminal screens. Sign out before leaving

Accessibility Fully Accessible - The role requires volunteers to circulate throughout the facility which can be done by walking/walker support, wheelchair etc. Living Green will ensure that volunteers with accessibility needs are supported. ; Designated parking at entrance ; Wheelchair accessible automatic main entrance ; Barrier-free washroom including door and stall ; Delta Bingo is wheelchair accessible. Living Green understands the importance AODA compliance and supports the need for accommodations as required.

Training Orientation - Provided in person during first shift ; Training is provided - online and in person ; Delta Bingo requires completion of brief online training which is followed up with on site training at the bingo during first shift.
Transportation Delta Bingo Barrie is downtown, on the bus route. There is Bingo parking and street parking.
Cost There is no cost to the volunteer. Living Green will provide an appropriate top and ID. Volunteers wear comfortable, dark bottoms.
